Jackie Pearcey has hit out at the traffic chaos which is likely to be caused in Gorton for months due to the Hyde Road widening scheme.

Jackie said "This will cause months of misery for people using Hyde Road. The Council doesn't seem to have any sort of plan for events such as football matches at the Etihad Stadium. Gorton will be gridlocked."

"The pinch-point at the former Railway Bridge needs to be dealt with, but the Council's schedule seems to be designed to maximise the delays."
