STOP BREXIT TO SAVE OUR NHS

The prospect of opening up the NHS to American business practice is just another reason to fight to remain in the EU!

American President, Donald Trump, has stated at a news conference with the Prime Minister today that in any post Brexit trade negotiations everything, including the NHS 'will be on the table.

Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Spokesperson for Manchester Blackley stated "This is exactly what we were promised would not happen if Britain leaves the EU and yet here we are with the American President making clear that access to providing services under the NHS must be included in an trade deal with the United States of America."

The EU spent years in negotiation with the US to prevent this sort of privatisation of public servcies, and yet here we are with Britain still in the EU, and the American President already prospecting for one of our greatest national assets.

Iain added that "The suggestion of selling off access to our NHS in return for the opportunity for Donald Trump to fill our shelves with chlorinated chicken will sicken many people to the core, and yet these are the trade deals that Britain will be left with if we leave the EU."

Blackley and Broughton MP, Graham Stringer, has supported Brexit all the way, despite warning after warning about the harm it will do to our NHS not only through the loss of European Doctors, Nurses and Carers and the loss of access to vital drugs and radiation treatments for cancer, but also because of the back door sale of our our NHS to the private sector."

Iain Donaldson added "This is just one of the many reasons that the Liberal Democrats will continue to fight for the People to get the final say on Brexit. Leading campaigners for Brexit are happy to sacrifice our NHS in order to leave the EU, Liberal Democrats continue to campaign for Britain to remain in the EU so that we can protect the NHS."
